Forty Hadith: Actions Are by Intentions

Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet ﷺ said: “Actions are but by intentions, and every man shall have only that which he intended.”

Sincerity in every deed

This hadith is one half of the religion, for the acceptance of every outward action depends on the inward intention behind it.
